Ignorance of Truth
I look at you with so much disgust
For everything you stand for
For your Honor,
For your Loyalty,
Your bravery
I think of you and the bile rises.
How can you stand for so much good?
How can you expect so much good?
When there is so much death in the world.
People follow you with blind trust and devotion.
And I pity them.
They look at you as if you stand for everything good.
Their blind devotion makes me sick.
When I look at you I see what you truly are,
You are every dying creature,
You are every broken promise,
You are every broken heart,
You are everything that has gone wrong,
You are all things evil.
People give thanks to you when things go right.
They never see past the good,
But I do.
I see what you truly are.
I would be angry too, if someone killed my son.
But haven't you deemed enough revenge?
Haven't you killed enough things?
Haven't you hurt enough people?
You are NO saint,
You are NO god.
Yet we paint you as the ultimate creator.
It's true, you are a creator
A creator of death.
So why people stand in blind ignorance of you,
Thinking you are the blooming flower,
I will stand apart,
Alone in a world of ignorance.
Knowing that that flower is beautiful.
But it will die.
Everything does.
